Incumbent assists in the GIS/Cartography budget in coordination with the Appointing Authority. Incumbent manages digital mapping aspects of GIS and computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) for data input into the DOTD digital mapping environment. Incumbent supervises analysts in specialized and technical GIS software programming, implementation of new GIS technology, dissemination of GIS data maintained by the DOTD personnel for planning and implementation of multi-agency GIS projects. Oversees daily work assignments, reviews office staff performance, approves leave, documents performance evaluations, and makes employment recommendations. 20% Incumbent manages the creation of cartographic maps for use within the Department, for public distribution and Federal submissions.
